The Oppressor and the Oppressed

Mazloum was asked: “Will you forgive those who wronged you?”

He replied: “I will wait for the day of their death to pray over them, and say: ‘O Lord, so-and-so is Your guest today; take my rights from him.’”

And I say: Do not spoil your joy with anxiety, do not spoil your mind with pessimism, and do not spoil your success with arrogance. Indeed, Allah does not withhold from you something you desire except because there is a greater good for you in that withholding, which you are unaware of.

And tomorrow is another day...
