U.S. Energy Secretary: Our strategy is to impose a suffocating economic blockade on Iran

-Continuing oil and gas shipments through the Strait of Hormuz

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright confirmed on Monday that Iran is currently unable to export any oil, noting that the US strategy is based on imposing a suffocating economic blockade on the country.

Wright stated that more than 30 ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, affirming the continuation of oil and gas shipments through the strait.

He explained that addressing the Iran issue has caused short-term market disruptions, but expects Iran’s influence to continue waning.
