Traffic Department Arrests 5 Individuals for Serious Speeding Violations

The General Directorate of Traffic continued its traffic campaigns across various governorates. The operations carried out yesterday resulted in the apprehension of five individuals who committed serious speeding violations, leading to their referral to the Traffic Department and the impoundment of their vehicles pending the completion of legal procedures against them.

A security source clarified that traffic officers in Al-Jahra arrested two individuals who were driving their vehicles on the Al-Jahra road at a speed of 190 kilometers per hour. They were referred to the Traffic Department and their vehicles were impounded to take the necessary legal action against them.

The source added that highway patrol officers apprehended three other individuals who committed speeding violations exceeding 150 kilometers per hour, and they were referred to the Traffic Department with their vehicles impounded.
