“Foreign Ministry”: Necessity of an Immediate Halt to All Escalatory Actions
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attack on a vessel belonging to the UAE’s ADNOC company as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, in a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817.
The Ministry emphasized that the recurrence of such attacks poses a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, global energy supplies, and international trade. It reiterated its call for an immediate cessation of all escalatory actions and for adherence to the rules of international law that guarantee freedom of navigation.
