Kuwait Girls U11 Team Wins Table Tennis Championship in West Asia
The Kuwait girls’ table tennis under-11 team secured first place on Friday by defeating Iraq 3-0 at the West Asia Championship held in Jordan, which will continue until next Thursday.
For his part, Nader Bahbahani, a member of the board of directors of the Kuwait Table Tennis Federation, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Kuwait girls’ under-11 team’s first-place finish at the West Asia Championship in Jordan represents a distinctive achievement for Kuwaiti table tennis, reflecting the promising players’ technical skills and competitive abilities.
Bahbahani added that the team deservedly clinched first place after their 3-0 victory over their Iraqi counterparts, praising the level of play demonstrated by the athletes and the efforts made by the technical and administrative staff to achieve this milestone.

He further stated that this result serves as an important motivation for the rest of the male and female national team players participating in the tournament, which continues until next Thursday, emphasizing the Federation’s commitment to achieving the best results and reaching the podium in all categories.
He clarified that Kuwait is participating in the championship across various age groups for both boys and girls—under-19, under-17, under-15, under-13, and under-11—as part of the Federation’s interest in providing players with opportunities to gain experience, compete, and enhance their technical levels.
Bahbahani noted that the championship features participation from the national teams of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Qatar, Jordan, Palestine, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, adding significant artistic value to the competitions and offering players a unique opportunity to acquire more experience.
He expressed hope that the Kuwaiti national teams would continue to achieve positive results in upcoming matches, affirming that the Federation would continue its support for players and work on developing the sport’s base to prepare a generation capable of representing Kuwait honorably at regional and international events.
