Egypt condemns the targeting of two Emirati ships while transiting the Strait of Hormuz

Egypt strongly condemned on Friday the attack targeting two vessels belonging to the UAE’s ADNOC company as they transited the Strait of Hormuz yesterday evening.

In a statement, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack constitutes a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and the freedom of ship movement in one of the most important international waterways.

Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing the need to halt all actions that could threaten the security and safety of international navigation or endanger ships and civilian facilities.

Egypt stressed the importance of respecting the rules of international law, which would contribute to de-escalation and the preservation of regional security and stability.
