Civil Aviation Authority Revives the Public Treasury with KD 7 Million
Al-Siyasah learned that the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has finally received conditional approval from the Court of Accounts to contract for seven tenders with a total cost of KD 7.006 million, following the Court’s completion of the review and audit of the tender documents and the application of prior control procedures.
The tenders represent the value of rentals for a number of activities within the passenger terminals, including the exploitation of advertising spaces and shops for selling food and other activities, for varying durations depending on each activity. The three highest-value tenders were as follows: exploitation of advertising spaces in Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport for a total of KD 4.182 million; a tender for baggage handling services in Terminal 1 (T1) of Kuwait International Airport for KD 1.750 million; and a tender for a café or snack restaurant in Terminal 4 of the airport for KD 414,000.
