'Ministry of Public Works': 82% of infrastructure works completed in Qurtaiba

Work teams continue field follow-up to ensure compliance with the schedule and technical specifications

The teams of the Ministry of Public Works continue their field monitoring of the infrastructure implementation project in the Qurtaiba area, which has reached an actual completion rate of 82 percent, under the directives and instructions of Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan.

Al-Mashaan directed the relevant teams to conduct field follow-up of the works and adhere to the approved schedule and technical specifications, ensuring the project is completed within the contractual period.

In this context, the Director General of the General Administration of Health Engineering Affairs, Engineer Anwar Al-Balushi, conducted a field visit today, Thursday, to Contract "H.S./194" for the implementation of infrastructure works in the Qurtaiba area. The project began on April 3, 2024, has a duration of three years, and is scheduled to be completed by April 2, 2027.

The completion rate according to the approved schedule as of today stands at 75.50 percent, while the actual completion rate is 82 percent.

The completion rate for the sewage network is 97 percent, the stormwater drainage network is 97 percent, the telephone network is 99 percent, and the street lighting network is 96 percent. Meanwhile, the completion rate for laying the asphalt layers "Type 1 & Type 2" is approximately 78.9 percent, and for the "Type 3" asphalt layer, it is approximately 15.2 percent.
