Lebanon Welcomes Visitors with Free Security!
The Lebanese Ministry of Information and Comin Insurance have launched a new national initiative providing free insurance coverage for Arab and foreign visitors to Lebanon, a move aimed at bolstering confidence in the country and supporting economic and investment activity. The announcement was made during a seminar held at the Ministry of Information building, attended by Minister of Information and lawyer Paul Maroun and Roger Zakkour, Chairman and General Manager of Comin Insurance, where the project’s details and the mechanism enabling visitors to benefit from coverage during their stay in Lebanon were presented.
Minister Maroun praised the initiative and the role the private sector can play alongside state institutions in supporting Lebanon’s image and restoring confidence in it. He emphasized the importance of every project that contributes to stimulating the economy, investment, and visitor movement, while projecting a positive image of Lebanon both domestically and internationally. He noted that this is not the first time the company has taken the initiative to support national institutions, adding that it has contributed and continues to cover external transport trucks for Lebanese Television and its equipment.
He stated, “This initiative carries a message of confidence in Lebanon and underscores the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors.” He pointed out that “providing greater reassurance to Arab and foreign visitors adds value to efforts aimed at encouraging Lebanon’s presence as a destination that welcomes its visitors, with the media serving as a key partner in conveying this image to the world.”
For his part, Zakkour affirmed that “the project started from a simple question the company asked itself: What can we do at this stage to stand by our country, support the tourism season, and encourage people to come to Lebanon?” He explained that “any foreign visitor to Lebanon will be able to benefit from the initiative by downloading the Comin app, entering the required information, and using the designated Promo Code, thereby receiving immediate insurance coverage during their stay in Lebanon in accordance with the project’s mechanism and terms.” Zakkour stressed that “the initiative goes beyond the concept of an insurance policy,” saying, “This initiative is not just an insurance policy; it is a message of confidence. We believe in our country and are convinced that Lebanon deserves to remain a tourist destination for all Arabs and the world, and we wanted to give every visitor additional peace of mind during their stay with us.”
