Following the success of security agencies, with efficiency and competence, in less than 24 hours after detaining two individuals who were in contact with ISIS and training to manufacture explosives to target a place of worship, they delivered a second blow to the same organization. They thwarted a terrorist plot targeting one of the country’s vital facilities and arrested a citizen who had joined the organization prior to carrying out the attack. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef praised the vigilance, meticulous follow-up, and success of the security agencies in their proactive operations to uncover and detain collaborators with terrorist organizations. He affirmed that “the nation has vigilant eyes that guard it and preserve its security and safety.”

In a special statement to “Al-Siyasa,” Al-Yousef said: “The country’s security is a trust upon the shoulders of security personnel who offer their precious resources and lives to safeguard it and work hard so that everyone may enjoy security and stability. With these men present, there will be no place for ISIS’s terrorist wolves or any other terrorist organizations in Kuwait. We will not allow them to harm its soil, its people, or the residents on its land.”
The First Deputy Prime Minister emphasized his “absolute trust in security personnel across various sectors and their ability to uncover and dismantle plots targeting the country’s security, as well as to pursue their elements wherever they are and wherever they are found.”
“Interior”: The suspect received training on manufacturing explosives and building a drone to execute his terrorist plan
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a suspect whose investigation revealed that he received training related to manufacturing explosives and drones, and that he built a drone with the intent of using it to execute his terrorist plot and target one of the country’s vital facilities. The ministry confirmed that necessary legal measures have been taken against him and that he has been referred to the competent authority to complete investigations and take further action in accordance with the law.
The ministry reiterated in a press statement yesterday its confirmation that its security agencies will continue their proactive efforts to monitor and confront any activities or plots that could threaten the country’s security and stability. It stressed that it will not tolerate anyone who dares to harm the nation’s security and the safety of citizens and residents, and that it will deal firmly with any suspicious activities in accordance with legal provisions.
