Bahrain's King and Oman's Sultan affirm the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in international waterways

Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to discuss the latest developments and regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Bahrain News Agency reported that during the call, the King of Bahrain praised Oman’s prominent role and its vigorous efforts to reach an agreement ensuring the return of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Both sides emphasized the importance of guaranteeing freedom of navigation in all international waterways, which contributes to supporting international trade and enhancing global economic stability, while reviewing the close fraternal bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

The King of Bahrain also expressed his sincere wishes for Oman’s Sultan, wishing him good health and happiness, and for the sisterly Sultanate, wishing it continued progress and prosperity.
