'Nujoom Al-Watan' Celebrates Creatives: Honoring Them a National Message
Three dialogue sessions, an art exhibition, and honoring a select group of icons
Al-Adwani: Success and contribution stories deserve to reach future generations
The "Stars of the Nation" forum concluded its activities yesterday evening in a national, cultural, and artistic evening that brought together a distinguished group of Kuwaiti figures from the fields of media, art, sports, culture, and community service, under the slogan "One Nation... Multiple Creativities... An Eternal Message," under the auspices of the Kuwaiti Union of Artists and Journalists, amidst a large public and media presence, at the Al Hamra Complex.
The forum combined honoring, dialogue, and art, through three sessions that discussed the role of media, content creation, and art in strengthening national identity, alongside a national art exhibition, artistic segments, and a visual presentation. The evening also saw the honoring of a select group of Kuwaiti achievers and icons.
Jamal Al-Adwani, Chairman of the "Stars of the Nation" forum and media advisor, emphasized that the large public turnout reflects the high level of appreciation for achievers and confirms that Kuwait is rich with talents and creators who deserve recognition.
He said, "The idea behind the forum stems from the belief that honoring achievers is not limited to celebrating names, but extends to highlighting stories of success and contribution and passing them on to future generations, to serve as inspiring models that reflect the values of work, creativity, and perseverance."
He added that the forum carries the message that the nation unites everyone, creativity binds them, and contribution is the language that endures, noting that creating real impact goes beyond the boundaries of fame to the value a person leaves in their community and country. Al-Adwani extended his thanks to the Kuwaiti Union of Artists and Journalists, under the presidency of Dr. Nabil Al-Filikaawi, for supporting and hosting the initiative, as well as to the sponsors, success partners, media entities, and all those who contributed to organizing the forum.
A National Message in the Digital Age
The forum opened its sessions with "A National Message in the Digital Age," featuring content creator Talal Al-Buhairi and journalist Warood Hayat, moderated by journalist Yousef Al-Jaber. The session addressed the transformations brought about by the digital age in content creation, and the responsibility of influencers and journalists to provide content that enhances awareness and national identity, without making virality an end at the expense of the message.
The second session, titled "Media and a National Message... When Words Become a Responsibility," was moderated by journalist Fatima Al-Khabbaz, with the participation of former media advisor Mohammed Gheilan Al-Shammari. It discussed the importance of professionalism, credibility, and national responsibility, and the role of media in documenting national memory, highlighting success stories, and keeping pace with changes in communication tools.
The third session, "The Nation by the Brush of an Artist and the Lens of a Creator," was moderated by journalist Ghani Juma, with the participation of master photographer Ali Dashti and visual artist Ahmed Muqeem. It covered the role of art and photography in documenting the details of the nation and transforming places and memories into creative works that preserve Kuwait's identity for future generations.
More than 20 Artists
The forum reinforced its message by hosting a national exhibition featuring more than 20 visual artists and photographers, who presented works that embodied Kuwaiti identity and love for the country through brush and lens.
The forum concluded its activities by emphasizing that the value of honoring lies in celebrating the impact creators leave in their community, and in consolidating a culture of appreciating contribution and achievement.
