US President Donald Trump stated that Iran is seeking compensation for damages it sustained from the five-month military conflict, affirming that he, in turn, demands that Tehran pay compensation.

Trump added that he had directed Washington’s representatives to make Iran’s payment of compensation a “crucial” element in any future negotiations with the country.

He emphasized that the issue of compensating Iran for its losses in the conflict had never been raised during any of the negotiations or meetings held between the United States and Iran.
