The ministry added that upon arriving at the missing man’s residence, his car was found with traces inside indicating that a crime had occurred. The bodies of his wife and two daughters were also discovered inside the wife’s car near their residence.
Investigations and information gathering led to the identification and arrest of the perpetrator, a friend of the victim “by pension” and a resident of the Dokki Police Station district in Giza. Guided by the suspect, authorities also recovered the weapon used in the crime.
According to the statement, the suspect admitted during confrontation that he knew the victim kept cash and gold bars in his home. He decided to kill him and rob him due to the financial difficulties he was experiencing.
The ministry stated that the suspect lured the victim using his car, then took possession of the keys to his residence before disposing of the victim’s body behind a concrete barrier on the Ain Sokhna Road.
It continued that the suspect then went to the victim’s home, contacted his wife, and deceived her by claiming her husband had been involved in a traffic accident and was taken to a hospital. He then took her and their two daughters along the same road, where he committed the crime against them.
The ministry noted that the suspect returned to the vicinity of the family’s home, left the wife’s car nearby with the victims’ bodies inside, and covered them with a blanket. He then attempted to enter the victim’s house with the intent to steal, but the presence of the building’s security guard prevented him from doing so. He therefore decided to return at night to complete the robbery.
The ministry confirmed that the bodies of the deceased had been transferred and that the necessary legal procedures were initiated, while the Public Prosecution took charge of investigating the incident.
