Who Rules Iran... The State of Darkness
When states break their international commitments, they do not merely become rogue; they transform into gangs. In the case of Iran, we are facing a situation unprecedented in world history, as we now confront gangs that control a major regional state.
Since February 28 of last year, shadows have been ruling this large state. We no longer know who makes the decisions, as each day brings a new stance, either from the Revolutionary Guard, which appears to have a long history of determining foreign policy, or from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which can be said to be improvising constantly. Meanwhile, the Presidency of the Republic is clearly powerless, and the Presidency of the Parliament has become an echo of that Guard.
Thus, when we previously stated that the world must punish the current regime, we were reading from the pages of Persian history, which is controlled by an imperial mindset based on the elimination of the "other," even if they are sons or brothers, while internalizing the core objective and constantly announcing contradictory positions.

In recent days, Tehran has set six new conditions for opening the Strait of Hormuz. These conditions are, in fact, detached from reality, because the defeated do not set the terms. However, it appears that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has once again entered the fray to shuffle the cards, attempting to prove itself, or rather, to improve the standing of its secretary, Mohammad Bagher Khalibaf, before the public.
The truth is that the six conditions imposed mean overturning everything achieved over the past six months, and once again shuffling international economic cards. They turn the Strait of Hormuz into more than just a pressure card against the world; they represent a regression to the Middle Ages, when pirates ruled the seas.
Furthermore, considering Iran’s incitement of the Houthi group in the Bab al-Mandab, as well as the incitement of Iraqi gangs to carry out terrorist attacks on neighbors, all of this signifies continuous disruption of global energy security and increased inflation. As we have stated before, it also involves using starvation as a weapon of mass destruction, because halting the export of fertilizers and other goods, combined with the drought crisis affecting the world, leads to an increase in the global hunger rate.
Therefore, the path Iran and its proxies are following means only one thing: creating a global crisis. From this perspective, the world must realize that the stalemate leads to more terrorism, as it opens doors for other terrorist forces to blackmail states. This is based on the premise that the international community has remained inactive regarding the disruptions facing the global economy. Meanwhile, settlement through diplomacy has proven to be a failure, as Tehran reneged on its commitments during the Islamabad negotiations.
On the other hand, if Iran is benefiting from maintaining a state of neither war nor peace, and from the reluctance of regional states, as well as the United States, to engage in a wide regional war, there remains only one solution: working to change the regime from within. After months of fighting, the regime has become weaker, and with increasing living pressure on Iranians, conditions are ripe for a smart surgical operation to remove what causes trouble for the world.
Conversely, any other solutions will prolong the life of the rogue regime, thereby granting it the oxygen needed to continue blackmailing neighboring states and the world, and reigniting the region in wars it does not need. It is clear today that Iran is ruled by a state of darkness.
