'Interior Ministry': Egyptian arrested for killing residents in 'Kabd' while attempting to flee the country

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, arrested a suspect of Egyptian nationality in a case of intentional homicide that claimed the lives of two residents in the Kabd area of Al-Jahra Governorate. This arrest followed intensive security efforts that led to identifying, tracking, and apprehending the suspect while he was attempting to flee the country.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the incident details date back to a report received by security agencies alleging an assault inside one of the fishing boats (gharqal) in the Kabd area. Competent authorities immediately dispatched teams to the scene, where it was confirmed that two residents had been stabbed and later died from their injuries. Search and investigation teams began their procedures to uncover the circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrator. The murder weapon was also found near the scene.

By intensifying search and investigation efforts and gathering evidence, investigators were able to identify the suspect and track his movements. In coordination with the General Directorate of Land Border Security, the suspect was located in the Rutqa area while attempting to escape the country by crossing the border fence. He was arrested and handed over to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal actions against him.
