King Salman, may God brighten your face and that of your crown prince for this alliance
Since the dawn of history, the Middle East has witnessed numerous great events, with each era seeing efforts to build alliances to safeguard nations. During the Crusades, as Europe sought to export its crises, this region became its strategic arena, diverting attention from internal issues to external fronts. However, it was facilitated by those who liberated the area from European occupation.
Similarly, when colonial powers sought to extend their influence over resources such as salt and energy, along with other ambitions, paving the way toward East Asia, the region remained central to their designs.
When old empires, such as the Persian Empire and others, harbored colonial dreams, it was those who saved the region’s states—whether during the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs or afterward, such as Khalid ibn al-Walid and Saladin al-Ayyubi, among others—who established alliances among the people of the region.

In modern times, several factors have entered the political and military landscape, transforming states into entities with defined geographical boundaries. These states have sought to strengthen their power according to their capabilities, whether domestically or in relations with the outside world. Here, we refer to a power that holds significant political, economic, and religious presence: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has undergone radical transformation since the beginning of the reign of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.
History shows that nations age and weaken, but every hundred years, someone emerges to restore their youth and strength. This is what the Kingdom has experienced since 2015, when it began pursuing multiple strategies: domestically, it changed laws and systems, enabling it to enjoy greater youthful economic strength and speak the language of the modern era; externally, it strengthened relations with neighboring Gulf states and other countries worldwide.
From this perspective, the Saudi-Turkish-Pakistani tripartite alliance is viewed as a natural response to threats endangering the entire region, starting from Israeli threats to Iran’s expansionist threat, cloaked in slogans like "exporting the revolution." Both are dangerous because they threaten not only sovereignty but also the sabotage of economic, political, and religious beliefs.
This alliance grants the three countries greater strength. Economically, their combined gross domestic product reaches $3.4 trillion, and they possess significant military and popular power.
Thus, the new defense agreement, added to Riyadh’s initiative to establish a maritime alliance for defending the Red Sea and the region’s water straits, which includes 14 countries, means that the interconnection between these alliances has become a reality. Any threats, regardless of their source, will face a formidable force.
Although other regional pacts, such as the "Joint Gulf Defense Treaty" and others, rely on cooperation in defense sectors, this new alliance offers a significant opportunity for other Gulf states, such as the UAE and Bahrain, to join, thereby enhancing the region’s defensive deterrence.
It is true that regional power dynamics are being redrawn according to a vision different from what resulted from the two World Wars. However, the strength possessed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan will serve as the cornerstone of the Middle East’s future. Active states within the region will determine the fate of many strategic files across the entire area.
On this basis, for example, the Iranian regime and its branches in some Arab states have begun changing their behavior since the announcement of the agreement, as has Israel. This itself confirms the immediate fruits of a wise policy based on the conviction that the greatest victory is the one achieved without fighting or war.
Thus, from Mecca, the city of peace, came the glad tidings of good with this alliance, driven by the efforts of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the directives of King Salman, to set the region on the path to stability, shielded by immense economic and military strength and broad popular support. For this reason, we say to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman: May God brighten your faces.
