The Sultanate of Oman condemned the repeated attacks on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, affirming that such acts constitute violations of international law and the sovereignty of territorial waters, and pose a threat to maritime navigation safety, as well as to the security and stability of the region.

The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the ongoing negotiations concerning navigation arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz are proceeding in a positive and constructive atmosphere.

It emphasized the importance of avoiding any actions that could undermine these negotiations and the progress achieved, which takes into account the interests of all parties.
