Kuwait Condemns the Blameworthy Iranian Attack on an Emirati Tanker: A Flagrant Violation of International Law
“Foreign Ministry”: We stand fully with the UAE and reject any attack on the security of maritime navigation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attack that targeted one of the tankers belonging to the UAE’s ADNOC company while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz, affirming that it constitutes a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, and a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.

The Ministry stressed the necessity of an immediate halt to all escalatory actions and adherence to the rules of international law that guarantee freedom of navigation, reiterating Kuwait’s rejection of any attack on the security and safety of maritime navigation.
