Saudi Arabia strongly condemns attack on Emirati tanker: assault on maritime security and global energy supplies

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strongest condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of a UAE-flagged vessel while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The Kingdom affirmed that these unacceptable attacks constitute a violation of the security and safety of maritime navigation, as well as of global energy supply security.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Iran’s continued perpetration of these attacks represents a serious breach of international laws and norms, including United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which guarantees freedom of navigation and safe passage through maritime corridors.
