Death Toll from Floods in India's Assam State Rises to 98

The death toll from the floods in India’s northeastern state of Assam has risen to 98, with approximately 155,000 people affected across 13 districts.

India’s Press Trust of India reported on Saturday, citing an official bulletin issued by the State Disaster Management Authority, that floodwaters have impacted 464 villages, bringing the total number of affected individuals to 155,849.
