Tit for tat... Spain imposes border controls on arrivals from Italy
Spain announced the imposition of temporary border controls on travelers arriving from Italy, in response to a similar measure taken by Rome, on the basis of reciprocity.
The Spanish Ministry of the Interior stated that the measures would cover flights and ships arriving from Italy, with travelers subject to passport checks at ports and airports.
It clarified that the controls would begin on Saturday night and remain in effect until September 7, as part of temporary monitoring of internal borders for arrivals from Italy.
