'Customs': Foiled smuggling of over 4,255 'Captagon' pills with a passenger arriving from Syria

Inspectors from the General Administration of Customs at Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 5 (T5), thanks to their vigilance and expertise in customs inspection and control operations, foiled an attempt to smuggle 4,255 pills of the narcotic drug Captagon, which were in the possession of a passenger arriving from the Syrian Arab Republic on a flight operated by one of the airlines.

The seizure followed suspicions regarding the passenger’s luggage, which was subjected to thorough inspection procedures using screening equipment. The operation yielded three boxes containing Captagon pills hidden among the luggage in an attempt to conceal them from customs officers.
