Egyptian President and Bahraini King reaffirm the necessity of implementing the Gaza agreement and resolving regional crises through dialogue
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed on Thursday the necessity of implementing the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid, and resolving regional crises through dialogue and peaceful means.
The Egyptian Presidency stated in a press release that this came during President el-Sisi’s reception of the Bahraini King at the Presidential Palace in New Alamein City, where both sides held talks attended by senior officials from both countries.
During the talks, President el-Sisi emphasized the importance of continuing to develop Egyptian-Bahraini relations, particularly in economic, trade, and investment sectors, alongside intensifying strategic consultation and political coordination, which contributes to maintaining regional peace and stability.
The statement added that the talks addressed developments in the regional situation, with el-Sisi renewing Egypt’s support for the Kingdom of Bahrain and condemning Iranian attacks targeting its territory, affirming that Bahrain’s security is an integral part of Egypt’s national security.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, both sides stressed the need for all parties to commit to implementing the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the unhindered entry of humanitarian aid, and supporting early recovery and reconstruction efforts, leading to a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution, with an independent Palestinian state established on the June 4, 1967 borders and its capital in East Jerusalem.
According to the statement, the Bahraini King expressed his country’s appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance toward Bahrain’s security and stability, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination between the two countries to address regional challenges and avoid escalation.
He expressed his pride in visiting Egypt, affirming his country’s commitment to elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons, reflecting the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and serving the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
He also expressed his wishes for Egypt to continue its progress and prosperity, affirming Bahrain’s solidarity with Egypt and support for all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability, a stance that President el-Sisi commended.
