Ahmad Al-Hamad: We are working to empower persons with disabilities and enhance their integration into the work environment

Kuwait Finance House announced yesterday the launch of the sixth edition of its training program to support and empower persons with disabilities, in collaboration with the Kuwait Association for the Care of Persons with Disabilities. The program will run for three months, from August through the end of October 2026, aiming to provide a comprehensive experience for skill acquisition and enable participants to integrate effectively into the labor market.

Ahmad Al-Hamad, Acting Head of Human Resources at Kuwait Finance House Group, stated that the training program, which includes 11 trainees, is part of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to consolidate the concepts of social responsibility and sustainability. He emphasized that the program’s continuity for six consecutive years, with the same momentum, attention, follow-up, and commitment to its success and presentation in the best possible manner and at the highest level, embodies the Bank’s commitment to empowering our sons and daughters with disabilities and enhancing their integration into the work environment. Furthermore, this strategic partnership plays a significant role in strengthening the bond and job loyalty of Kuwait Finance House employees, reflecting the Bank’s interest in this segment, which constitutes an integral part of society.

Al-Hamad stressed that the program builds upon achievements from previous editions, with developed training scope and expanded participating departments, thereby providing participants with a realistic practical experience that helps them acquire skills and enhance their readiness for the labor market.

He noted that trainees will be distributed across various departments within the Bank, with new departments included for the first time this year as part of the training plan, reflecting Kuwait Finance House’s commitment to developing the program’s content and expanding its scope year after year.

He praised the trainees’ interaction with department officials during the program launch ceremony, noting that the Bank ensured the presence of officials to meet the trainees and hand over their official work IDs in preparation for the start of the training journey. He highlighted that the training program offers a comprehensive training experience that provides participants with genuine opportunities to acquire practical skills in a supportive environment that accommodates their needs and grants them appropriate opportunities for interaction and development.

Al-Hamad affirmed that Kuwait Finance House is committed to annually developing this program in collaboration with the Kuwait Association for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, within the framework of a strategic partnership aimed at supporting and empowering persons with disabilities, and enhancing institutional awareness regarding the importance of their integration into community development pathways.

For his part, Bura’a Al-Janaahi, General Manager of the Kuwait Association for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, said, “We at the Association are proud of our extended partnership with Kuwait Finance House, which has reached its sixth edition of the training program this year.”

He added that this initiative is a clear example of constructive cooperation between the financial sector and civil society institutions, contributing directly to empowering persons with disabilities and equipping them with practical experience and skills that enhance their integration and independence in the work environment.

Al-Janaahi emphasized that this strategic partnership represents an extension of a solid relationship that has proven its positive impact over the past years in developing participants’ capacities and enhancing their self-confidence, “which we witness annually through the program’s evolving outcomes and its reflection on the trainees’ futures.”
