Ibrahim Al-Husseini 'Hanouti' of Gulf Drama in Ramadan 2026
Huda Hussein, Shaima Ali, and Khaled Al-Bruki share the leading roles.
Saudi artist Ibrahim Al-Husawi announced his official joining of the cast of the new dramatic series “Al-Hanouti,” sharing a post featuring himself and another post showcasing the work’s leading actors on his Instagram Stories. “Al-Hanouti” is a short-form series consisting of 10 episodes, written by Ali Shams, directed by Mohammed Al-Maghrawi, and produced by GOAT Production for artistic, theatrical, advertising, and public relations services.

The series features an elite group of Gulf drama stars, including Huda Hussein, Khaled Al-Bruki, Shaima Ali, Maram Al-Balushi, Hamad Al-Omani, Mohammed Al-Ajmi, Bathina Al-Raishi, Hamad Ashkanani, Farah Al-Sarraf, Nour Al-Sheikh, Khaled Al-Shaer, Ibrahim Al-Hababi, Abdulmohsen Al-Aswad, Ryan Dashti, Hamal Al-Saleh, Suad Al-Shatti, Latifa Al-Maqran, Al-Faraj Al-Sharqawi, Jamalean Al-Ruwaili, Mubarak Khamis, Wafa Maki, Noura Al-Balushi, among others.
“King of the Shoulders”
In a separate development, Al-Husawi’s recent cinematic film “King of the Shoulders” was selected to open the 12th edition of the Saudi Film Festival. Regarding the film, which carries the slogan “Bisht… Woven by Tradition,” it explores the Saudi bisht as a symbol of identity and dignity, from the intricate details of its craftsmanship and associated trades to its presence at major local and international events. The film marks the directorial debut of Maram Al-Khalidi and is produced by DNA.
“Recent Works”
Al-Husawi’s recent projects include the series “Hayy Al-Jaradiya,” which aired during the 2026 Ramadan season. The story follows “Saqr bin Sulaiman Al-Qaffaf,” who returns to the “Al-Jaradiya” neighborhood after years of absence and pain, not out of nostalgia but for revenge; he plans to avenge those responsible for his family’s tragedies. Like a silent storm moving slowly, “Saqr” infiltrates the neighborhood’s families and decides to marry within it, a move everyone assumes is driven by a desire for stability and family building. However, the truth lies in a long list of grievances he harbors. Every smile “Saqr” offers is a trap, and every bond of friendship is a rope he wraps around the necks of those who wronged his father and caused his mother’s death. The series is directed by Munir Al-Zubaidi, written by Farouq Al-Shaibi, and stars Ibrahim Al-Husawi, Mohammed Al-Qassab, Badr Al-Otaibi, Nermine Mohsen, Rawan Al-Tuwairqi, Noura Yassin, Ahd Al-Samer, Raghad Al-Brahim, Marwa Ali, Sara Al-Jaber, Zaid Al-Suwaidan, Badr Al-Luhaid, Abdullah Ahmed, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Ghada Al-Mulla, Ziad Al-Amri, Intisar Al-Sharif, Abdulaziz Al-Skeiran, Bassam Al-Asimi, Mohammed Al-Abdullah, Mohammed Al-Kanhal, and Mohammed Al-Hashem.
He also participated in another Ramadan series, “Ghanawi Shouq,” a unique heritage work consisting of 15 interconnected standalone episodes, each presenting a dramatic story inspired by an old song. The series is written by Abdulmohsen Al-Rodhan, directed by Ahmed Yaqoub Al-Muqalla, and features an elite cast of Gulf stars, including Yousef Buhulol, Jamalean Al-Ruwaili, Khaled Al-Bruki, Abdulmohsen Al-Nemer, Ibrahim Al-Husawi, Habib Ghaloom, Haifa Hussein, Zahra Arfath, Abdullah Al-Tararwa, Al-Faraj Al-Sharqawi, Amira Mohammed, Abdullah Al-Balushi, Nour Al-Sheikh, Khalil Al-Rumaihi, Shafika Youssef, Absam Abdullah, Aliya Mohammed, Abbar Sabt, Khaled Issa, Shaima Sabt, Fatima Abdul Rahim, and Absam Al-Atawi, among others.
