And one million dollars from “Al-Markaz”
The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced yesterday that Kuwait Finance House (“Al-Markaz”) had contributed US$1 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, a move reflecting the continued engagement of private sector institutions with the national initiative aimed at enhancing the country’s readiness and improving the efficiency of the emergency response system for various situations and circumstances.
In a press statement, the Fund clarified that this contribution underscores the Kuwaiti private sector’s commitment to supporting national initiatives of high priority, and reflects Kuwait Finance House’s (“Al-Markaz”) dedication to contributing to strengthening the country’s readiness by supporting efforts to enhance the efficiency of responses to different emergencies and circumstances.
In the same context, the Fund announced that Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar Company had contributed US$3 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, which was launched on July 5 last year.
It is worth noting that the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was established by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, following approval by the Council of Ministers, to manage and oversee its operations, with the aim of enhancing institutional resilience, raising the efficiency of national response, and enabling relevant authorities to address emergency challenges effectively and efficiently.
