Oil Minister: Kuwait keen to expand its international partnerships in the oil and energy sectors

- Discussed with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan the prospects for technical cooperation and exchange of expertise

The Minister of Oil and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Tariq Al-Roumi, affirmed that the State of Kuwait, represented by its oil sector, possesses accumulated expertise in various fields of the oil industry, and is keen to leverage it to support international cooperation and build strategic partnerships that achieve mutual benefit, contribute to expanding the horizons of economic cooperation, and strengthen communication bridges with friendly countries.

The Ministry of Oil stated in a press release that this came during Minister Al-Roumi’s reception of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Kuwait, Dr. Nurlan Tokubaev, at his office on Monday. The two discussed enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the prospects for joint cooperation in the oil and energy sectors.

The statement noted that the meeting reviewed cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the oil and gas sectors, alongside discussing several topics of common interest and exploring mechanisms to enhance technical cooperation and exchange of expertise, as well as leveraging Kuwait’s experience in developing oil industries and managing the oil sector, in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries.
