Ambassador Al-Nuaimi: Mohammed bin Zayed participated in 'Desert Storm'

He reaffirmed, on the anniversary of the invasion, the unity of the two countries’ security

The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Muttr Al Nuaimi, affirmed that UAE-Kuwaiti relations continue their trajectory of growth and prosperity across various sectors, thanks to the patronage and support they receive from the leaderships of the two brotherly countries.

Al Nuaimi said, in a post on the “X” platform, that the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait represented a historic milestone that embodied the special status Kuwait holds with the leadership and people of the UAE, citing the immortal words of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him: “Kuwait will return to its people, whether in war or in peace.”

He added that “this stance was translated into reality through the participation of the UAE Armed Forces in the Kuwait Liberation Operation, where they were at the forefront of the forces that entered Kuwaiti territory and contributed to expelling the invading forces,” noting that Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, was among the UAE forces participating in the “Desert Storm” operation.
