"Cancer Patients": 250,000 Dinars in Aid for 98 Patients

Al-Saleh: 3,556 beneficiaries have received services from the fund since its establishment

Dr. Khalid Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Cancer Patients Fund and the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Association for Combating Smoking and Cancer, announced that 98 cancer patients benefited from the fund’s services between January and the end of July 2026, with total financial assistance exceeding 250,000 Kuwaiti dinars. These funds were allocated to support patients who had stopped working due to their illness or who faced exceptional humanitarian circumstances.

Al-Saleh clarified that the fund continues to provide financial support to help patients overcome living expenses and focus on their treatment.

The fund also supports non-Kuwaiti patients whose circumstances require their permanent return to their home countries, by contributing to travel costs and providing financial assistance to help them meet their basic needs during the initial phase of their return.

He noted that the total number of beneficiaries of the fund’s services since its establishment until the end of 2025 reached 3,556 patients, emphasizing that these achievements were made possible thanks to the support of philanthropists and benefactors, and have contributed to alleviating the financial burdens on patients and their families.

He added that the fund continues to receive and review applications from eligible cases in accordance with established regulations, to ensure that assistance reaches the most needy patients. He expressed his gratitude to donors, supporting institutions and companies, and to the General Secretariat of Endowments, for their role in enhancing the fund’s programs and expanding the scope of its humanitarian services.
