Suspension of Bidding Procedures for Two Electricity Substation Projects Following Two Appeals
"The Authority" Approves Three Projects to Upgrade the Network for 8.24 Million Dinars
The Board of Directors of the Central Tenders Authority decided to notify the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy of the suspension of procedures for two tenders. The first tender concerns the supply and installation of three main 132/11 kV substations for the cloud data centers project in various locations, along with their feeders and accessories. The second tender involves the supply and installation of the Al-Matahmain (B) main 132/11 kV substation, along with its feeders and accessories. This decision to suspend procedures was made following a request from the Appeals Committee to provide it with copies of all documents and information related to two appeals submitted by two companies, in preparation for reviewing them and issuing a ruling. This necessitated suspending the procedures related to the subject of the appeal until the Committee issues its decision and provides the Authority with its final outcome. The Authority also decided to provide the Appeals Committee with all required documents to complete the review of the two appeals.

On another note, the Ministry obtained approval from the Central Tenders Authority to award three tenders with a total value of 8.243 million dinars, aimed at implementing projects to develop the electricity network and enhance the efficiency of its services.
The tenders included 4.313 million dinars for the operation and maintenance of the electrical transmission network, 2.680 million dinars for the installation of street lighting equipment in all governorates, and an additional 1.250 million dinars for repairing low-voltage underground cables and laying low-voltage cables for new consumers in Hawalli Governorate.
The Ministry is scheduled to refer the three tenders to the Court of Audit to complete oversight and auditing procedures and provide an opinion before signing the contracts, unless there are comments requiring a response from the Ministry.
