Kuwait Association Against Violence: The Invasion Anniversary Will Remain a Symbol of National Unity and Loyalty to the Martyrs, Prisoners, and Missing

Ali Mohammed Al-Ali, President of the Kuwait Association Against Violence and a lawyer, affirmed that the anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion of Kuwait represents a deeply rooted national occasion in the hearts of every Kuwaiti, during which we recall the heroism of martyrs and the sacrifices of prisoners and the missing, as well as the timeless stands taken by Kuwaitis in defending their country and safeguarding its dignity.

Al-Ali stated that commemorating this anniversary is not merely a reflection on historical events, but an affirmation of the importance of entrenching values of national unity, loyalty, and belonging, and enhancing awareness among generations regarding the sacrifices made by fathers and forefathers to liberate Kuwait and restore its sovereignty.

He added that the Kuwait Association Against Violence, in line with its mission to protect the family and society, promote a culture of rejecting violence, and combat the scourge of drug abuse, believes that building a cohesive and secure society begins with strengthening national identity, respecting the law, and entrenching values of solidarity and cooperation, which the Kuwaiti people embodied during the period of the invasion.

Al-Ali concluded his statement by praying for mercy and forgiveness for Kuwait’s martyrs, asking God to protect the country, its leadership, and its people, and to perpetuate the blessings of security and stability upon Kuwait. He emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs, prisoners, and the missing will remain a beacon for future generations and a symbol of national pride and dignity.
