Conservatives: Invasion Anniversary Renewed Loyalty to the Homeland and Strengthens National Unity Values

Governors of the country’s governorates stated that the 36th anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion represents an eternal national milestone to commemorate the heroism and sacrifices of Kuwaitis, draw inspiration from the values of resilience, loyalty, and patriotism, and renew their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security, sovereignty, and national unity.
In separate statements to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of the anniversary, which falls on Sunday, the governors emphasized that Kuwait’s security, sovereignty, and the dignity of its people are constants that cannot be violated, affirming that national unity will remain an impregnable fortress against all challenges.
They prayed to God Almighty to protect Kuwait and perpetuate the blessings of security, safety, and stability under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and to have mercy on the righteous martyrs of Kuwait.

Capital Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah affirmed that August 2 will remain etched in the memory of every Kuwaiti, serving as a testament to the aggression suffered by the country, the cohesion of the nation’s sons, their steadfastness to their legitimate leadership, and their belief in the justice of their cause.
He explained that this anniversary recalls one of the most difficult chapters in Kuwait’s history, which highlighted the unity and authenticity of the people in the face of challenges. He noted that rallying around the legitimate leadership was a fundamental pillar in restoring sovereignty, and he praised the international and fraternal stances that contributed to Kuwait’s liberation.
He stressed the importance of consolidating lessons learned and strengthening the values of unity, belonging, and national responsibility, expressing his appreciation for Kuwait’s martyrs and all those who contributed to defending the country, while commending the role of military, security, governmental, and volunteer entities.
