Beyond the Slogan of Protecting Western Values
The slogans defending Western values, espoused by their advocates, have not only persisted but intensified. When secular extremists perceive a threat to their interests—which are often linked to Zionist lobbies—they raise the banner of defending Western values against Russian President Vladimir Putin following the Russia-Ukraine war, simply because he has restored the role of Christian Orthodoxy in society. President Trump is similarly opposed due to his conviction that religion should play a renewed role in American life.
What exactly are “Western values”? The slogan is somewhat vague. Does it refer to the Christianity of Western societies, or to their complete secularism?
There is no need to identify who stands behind the incitement between Christians and Muslims. The role of Jewish Zionism and its control over extreme secularism, Christian religious sects, and Islamic groups have been widely documented. Notably, those who fuel anti-Muslim sentiment in the West rarely claim to be defending Christianity. They certainly incite Christians against Muslims, but under the guise of defending Western values, so as not to tarnish the pristine image of their secular faith or be accused of hidden religiosity. They resemble religious conservatives if they appear as guardians of the state and society, akin to a theocratic state ruled by religious figures. It is somewhat clear that “Abu Sion” (a derogatory term for Zionism) has not only co-opted some Christians and Islamists but has also extended its influence to secularists who gained prominence due to the religious extremism of believers. Fearing the decline of their own influence after these secularists became extremists whose authoritarianism surpassed that of all their predecessors, Zionism has sought to neutralize them. This may explain attempts by moderate Western secularists to trace these movements back to their origins, free from Zionist influence.

Therefore, efforts to understand the campaign promoting the slogan of preserving Western values must be intensified, by urging proponents to clarify what they mean. Do they seek to prevent immigrants from Western citizens from engaging in unfamiliar behaviors in public spaces? If so, they have the right to be disturbed by such actions.
There is even discontent among the populations of the countries from which immigrants originated, regarding the behavior of those who migrated to the West. There has been an increase in verbal and physical offenses against the natives of the countries that opened their doors to them, despite the fact that these immigrants had previously feared oppression in their home countries. Westerners have the right to say that they are not a punching bag for those who arrived in fear.
Furthermore, Westerners have the right to reject compensation or reconciliation from those who justify the destruction of their property on the grounds that Western ancestors enslaved their ancestors. Some oppressed peoples may have viewed the harshness of Western conquerors over their societies as justified.
In general, the guardianship of bullies under the guise of Western values must be halted. This requires addressing the concerns of those societies to prevent exploitation by obscure, depressed reformers fleeing the inner hell of their severe psychological melancholy, seeking attention through topics designed to distract others from their profound inner darkness.
