Russia: 3 dead and 15 injured in explosion near a cafe in central Moscow

Three people were killed and 15 others were injured on Saturday following an explosion near a café in the center of the Russian capital, Moscow, as authorities continued their investigation to uncover the circumstances and causes of the incident.

The Russian Ministry of the Interior stated that, according to initial figures, the explosion resulted in three deaths and injuries of varying severity to 15 others.

The Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoted Moscow police as saying the explosion occurred near a summer café, leading to the casualties.

The agency added that officers from the General Directorate of the Russian Ministry of the Interior were working at the scene near building number 1 on Kudrinskaya Square.
