Turkish newspaper reports indicate that Trabzonspor is nearing an agreement to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the former Liverpool player, for a salary of nearly one billion Egyptian pounds annually, following the collapse of talks with Besiktas.

Turkish journalist Yagiz Sapancoglu, alongside the French website Foot Mercato, reported that Trabzonspor has directly contacted Salah’s agent, Rami Abbas, and submitted a formal offer to sign the player.

The reports added that the offer includes an annual salary of 17 million euros (equivalent to approximately 994.5 million Egyptian pounds) on a two-year contract, whereas Besiktas had offered a one-year deal with an option to extend for another season.

The British newspaper Daily Mail stated that Salah’s offer from Besiktas amounted to 12 million euros annually, plus financial incentives, which is lower than the current offer from Trabzonspor.
