GCC Secretary-General Condemns Iran’s Blameworthy Attacks on Bubiyan Island: A Flagrant Violation of Kuwait’s Sovereignty

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strongest condemnation and rejection today, Saturday, of the reprehensible Iranian attacks that targeted a government facility and civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company in Bubyan Island, Kuwait.
In a statement, Al-Budaiwi said that these reprehensible Iranian attacks represent a continuation of Tehran’s hostile policy aimed at undermining security and stability in the region. They constitute an overt violation and a blatant breach of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents, and a serious violation of the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
