'Interior Ministry': 1,253 wanted persons and violators apprehended as part of the ongoing security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh

The Ministry of Interior announced the apprehension of 1,253 security wanted persons and individuals violating the Residency and Labor Laws, as part of the comprehensive security campaign ongoing in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. The operation is being carried out under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press statement on Saturday that the campaign, led by Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab, and in coordination with relevant government entities, serves as a continuation of field measures aimed at eliminating violations, enhancing security and public order, and addressing existing encroachments in the area.

It added that security agencies and field teams continue their operations in cooperation with competent government authorities, including inspecting vacated residences and monitoring and apprehending any attempts to violate security procedures and decisions issued by the relevant authorities.

The statement clarified that the campaign results also included the seizure of 36 children from cases of incestuous pregnancies, along with their mothers, with necessary legal measures taken against them and their referral to the competent authorities.

The statement noted that the Kuwait Municipality issued 777 violation reports, removed 27 abandoned vehicles, and placed 64 warning stickers on abandoned vehicles, in addition to carrying out cleaning operations in Al-Tamayoz Private School Street, Street 162, and surrounding streets, with ongoing inspection rounds to monitor violations.

It further stated that the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy reduced electrical loads in the Farwaniya Governorate by 60 percent, following the disconnection of power to 1,200 non-compliant residences. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works identified 1,432 houses on the verge of collapse, closed 20 illegal sewage connections, and treated 60 cases of sewage overflow in the area's streets.

The statement indicated that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued 256 seizure reports and 10 closure orders. The Ministry of Health treated 784 cases at the shelter center and referred 61 cases to hospitals, while the General Fireforce Authority implemented 188 administrative closure decisions.

It pointed out that the Public Authority for Environment issued 90 seizure reports for environmental violations and referred them to the Public Prosecution, with ongoing inspection rounds to monitor encroachments and violations. Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued 315 violation reports and 9 reports for the destruction of food materials, and submitted 12 requests to close non-compliant establishments.

The statement mentioned that the Public Authority for Manpower conducted 6,511 inspection cases on shops and investment establishments, seized 1,471 non-compliant establishments, and took legal measures against them. It also physically examined 376 individuals, identified 129 cases of money payments in exchange for residency, and referred 110 individuals from the migrant workers' shelter center to the Deportation Department, with ongoing inspection rounds in the area to monitor encroachments and violations.

The Ministry of Interior added that previous stages of the campaign resulted in the evacuation of non-compliant residences and the apprehension of large numbers of security wanted persons and violators of the Residency and Labor Laws.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized, according to the statement, that security campaigns will continue and will cover all non-compliant areas according to a comprehensive field plan, stressing that all legal measures will be taken against anyone proven to be in violation, contributing to the preservation of security and public order, preventing the recurrence of encroachments and violations, and enhancing the quality of life.
