Egypt urges foreign media to exercise accuracy regarding the incident targeting two ships at Damietta port

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that investigations into the recent attack on two ships at the Port of Damietta are still ongoing to ascertain all the circumstances of the incident and identify the responsible party.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the ministry noted that, as part of the Arab Republic of Egypt’s monitoring of reports published by certain foreign media outlets regarding the attack on the two ships at the Port of Damietta, some of these outlets have disseminated inaccurate and misleading news about the incident.

Egypt called on media outlets, news agencies, and foreign correspondents both within Egypt and abroad to exercise utmost accuracy in reporting, and emphasized the importance of relying on official Egyptian authorities when covering matters related to Egypt and the Damietta incident.
