'Food Authority': 5 violations lifted and 195 kg of meat destroyed in Farwaniya

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced today the implementation of an inspection round at food establishments in the Farwaniya area, carried out by the Farwaniya Food Inspection Control as part of its regulatory plan.

The round resulted in issuing a violation for trading adulterated food, and two violations against workers for handling food without obtaining health certificates, in addition to two violations against employers for employing workers without health certificates.

The Authority also drafted a destruction report for a quantity of meat weighing a total of 195.2 kilograms, which was destroyed in accordance with standard legal procedures.

The Authority emphasized that the inspection round is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight of food establishments, safeguard the safety and health of consumers, and take legal action against violators.
