- To enhance the awareness of business owners regarding regulations and bylaws, thereby ensuring the sustainability of their businesses and protecting their investments.
The Kuwait Municipality will launch its awareness campaign, “License Your Activity… Take the Right Steps,” tomorrow, Saturday, with the aim of promoting compliance with municipal regulations, protecting the investments of commercial business owners, and instilling a culture of adherence to rules and directives.
Mohammed Al-Sandan, Director of the Public Relations Department and Official Spokesperson for the Kuwait Municipality, stated in a press statement on Friday that the campaign includes a package of awareness messages directed at business owners across various sectors.
Al-Sandan clarified that the campaign aims to enhance business owners’ awareness of municipal regulations and bylaws, ensuring the sustainability of their operations and the protection of their investments through compliance with regulatory requirements and procedures. He emphasized that following simple steps helps avoid violations and penalties, which may include fines or the closure of the business.
He added that the campaign focuses on educating commercial business owners about applicable laws and regulations, informing them of the requirements for conducting business legally, thereby helping them avoid violations and develop their enterprises.
He explained that the campaign features specialized awareness messages tailored to the nature of each business activity, covering municipal requirements and procedures most relevant to each sector. This approach facilitates business owners’ understanding of their obligations and enables them to meet regulatory requirements.
He noted that the campaign highlights the most frequently observed violations, while clarifying the correct methods to avoid them. This contributes to reducing violations before they occur and enhancing compliance with municipal regulations and bylaws.
Al-Sandan pointed out that the primary objective of the campaign is to provide a sustainable business environment that supports business owners. He affirmed that compliance with municipal requirements is not limited to avoiding violations alone; it also contributes to protecting investments, enhancing the stability of the business environment, and improving the quality of services provided to consumers, thereby positively reflecting on the country’s urban landscape.
He called on commercial business owners to follow the official accounts of the Kuwait Municipality to benefit from the awareness messages and guidelines to be published sequentially, and to contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements. This will help facilitate their procedures and ensure their compliance with regulations and bylaws.
