Trump: Peace Council reaches historic agreement to disarm Hamas and factions in Gaza

US President Donald Trump announced on a post on the “Truth Social” platform that the Peace Council has reached what he described as a “historic agreement” calling for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in the Gaza Strip.
Trump said the agreement represents a “huge achievement” toward realizing lasting peace and security, extending his thanks to Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey for their important mediation efforts, and to his team, which he said contributed to achieving this breakthrough.

He clarified that with the completion of the disarmament process, Israel will withdraw, while an international stabilization force and a new Palestinian police force will assume responsibility for security in the Gaza Strip.
Trump affirmed that historic progress has been achieved in Gaza, adding that much work remains to be completed.
