The poultry and egg production sector is undergoing a qualitative transformation, thanks to artificial intelligence technologies that are shifting production methods from traditional management to a smart system based on data and continuous analysis.

Instead of relying on manual inspection of thousands of birds, AI-equipped cameras monitor the flock around the clock and continuously analyze their behavior.

Artificial intelligence can analyze bird movement patterns and detect diseases.

Visual estimation systems enable the measurement of bird weights and the monitoring of growth rates without the need for manual weighing, thereby reducing stress on the birds and maintaining the accuracy of smart monitoring in indoor environments.

It is worth noting that poultry are highly sensitive to environmental conditions; even a slight drop in temperature or a decline in air quality can lead to an immediate decrease in production.

Smart devices can measure temperature, humidity, ammonia levels, and lighting intensity, automatically adjusting ventilation, heating, and lighting systems to maintain optimal production conditions.

Furthermore, artificial intelligence adjusts lighting patterns to mimic the natural daylight cycle.

When eggs reach the production lines, artificial intelligence handles inspection, grading, and sorting with speed and accuracy surpassing human observation. High-resolution cameras are used to inspect thousands of eggs per minute, detecting hairline cracks, dirt, blood spots, and other defects that may go unnoticed by the naked eye.

In the next stage, eggs are automatically classified according to size, weight, and color, ensuring product uniformity and delivery to markets with standardized specifications, while minimizing the presence of non-compliant eggs.

Since feed constitutes the largest portion of poultry production costs, artificial intelligence contributes to improving feed efficiency and maximizing the benefit from every gram of feed, reducing waste, and enhancing production performance. By analyzing historical data, flock conditions, and environmental factors, AI can accurately predict the quantity of eggs expected to be produced in the coming weeks, helping producers plan production and marketing more efficiently.

It can also prepare the optimal daily feeding plan for the flock based on bird age and climatic conditions, thereby increasing economic returns, improving egg quality, reducing feed waste, and optimizing production rates, which helps minimize waste.
