33 Investment Units to Be Offered Next Week
Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi announced the opening of Al-Multaqa Cooperative Society’s market in the "N8" suburb on August 27, coinciding with the offering of 33 investment units. This move aims to complete the cooperative and service system in Al-Multaqa city, providing essential services to residents in line with the city’s rapid population growth, and enhancing the Society’s facilities’ readiness to serve shareholders and local residents.
This announcement came during a field visit conducted by Al-Ajmi in Al-Multaqa city, accompanied by Abdullah Al-Saedi, the appointed director of Al-Multaqa Cooperative Society, and Mamdouh Al-Harbi, the cooperative administrative supervisor. During the visit, they inspected the market in the "N8" suburb to verify progress percentages, follow up on final works and technical and service preparations, and assess the market’s readiness ahead of its opening. This ensures its operation according to the specified schedule and the provision of comprehensive services to citizens and residents of Al-Multaqa.
In a press statement, Al-Ajmi said the visit was in implementation of the political leadership’s directives, the Cabinet’s instructions, and recommendations from Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, aimed at accelerating the completion of service projects in new residential areas. He emphasized the need to monitor progress on the ground and address any remarks that might affect execution speed, ensuring all works are completed according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
He stressed that field visits represent the cornerstone of the Ministry’s project follow-up, as they are the most accurate means of assessing the actual implementation status and progress percentages on the ground. He noted that direct monitoring allows for the immediate identification of any remarks or challenges and the prompt implementation of necessary decisions to address them, ensuring adherence to specified schedules and achieving the highest levels of quality in project execution.
He added that going to the field provides a realistic and comprehensive picture of work progress, independent of office reports, and contributes to monitoring the finer details related to projects. This ensures the readiness of facilities and services before their operation, positively reflecting on the level of services provided to citizens and enhancing performance efficiency and execution speed.
He clarified that the market’s opening marks a new phase in the Ministry’s plan to complete Al-Multaqa Cooperative Society’s facilities, contributing to enhancing the city’s readiness and providing an integrated system of cooperative and consumer services that meet residents’ needs and keep pace with the significant urban expansion witnessed by Al-Multaqa city. He affirmed that the Ministry continuously monitors all cooperative projects to ensure they enter service within their scheduled times.
He added, “A tender for 33 investment units for Al-Multaqa Cooperative Society will be launched next week, in accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 46 of 2021, which regulates the investment of cooperative society branches. This aims to reinforce the principles of transparency, justice, and equal opportunity among all applicants through clear and announced procedures that guarantee the integrity of competition and equality in application opportunities.”
He emphasized that the Ministry, in light of its supervisory and oversight role, monitors all tendering procedures to enhance procedural integrity, safeguard public funds, ensure the proper utilization of investment facilities, and guarantee the provision of high-quality services that meet the needs of Al-Multaqa city residents according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
He noted that launching the commercial units in tandem with the market’s opening would accelerate the operation of cooperative and service activities, enabling investors to commence their operations as soon as possible. This would contribute to providing essential services to citizens and enhance the readiness of Al Muntaha Cooperative Society to fulfill its role in serving the residents of the area.
Al-Ajmi emphasized that the Ministry is committed to fostering a fair and organized investment environment, ensuring the optimal use of facilities and services, strengthening investors’ confidence in the tendering procedures, and guaranteeing the delivery of the highest quality and most efficient services to the residents of Al Muntaha city.
