Chinese Embassy Condemns Targeting of Civilians After Attack on Project Site Operated by Chinese Company in Northern Kuwait

The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kuwait, in response to the killing of a Chinese citizen in an attack targeting a site of a project implemented by a Chinese company in the northern part of the country, stated that the attack occurred in northern Kuwait, where a vehicle belonging to a subcontractor from Al-Batin, working on a project carried out by a Chinese company, was attacked, resulting in the death of a Nepali national who was driving the vehicle. The embassy expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased.

It reaffirmed that the Chinese side clarifies that any attack targeting innocent civilians or non-military objectives should be condemned.

It also called on all relevant parties to immediately cease hostilities, resume communication and dialogue, and avoid further escalation of the conflict.
