Kuwait and Pakistan: Enhancing Cooperation in Various Fields and Intensifying Coordination and Consultation Across Different Levels

The Foreign Minister discussed regional developments and de-escalation efforts with his Pakistani counterpart and Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber met today, Wednesday, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, during his official visit to the capital, Islamabad.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the meeting reviewed the close historical ties between the two countries and their friendly peoples.

Both sides emphasized their commitment to enhancing Kuwaiti-Pakistani cooperation across various fields and intensifying coordination and consultation on multiple levels, contributing to elevating bilateral relations to more advanced levels and achieving the common interests of the two friendly countries.

The meeting also discussed the latest regional developments and efforts aimed at de-escalation in the region. Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in supporting the security and stability of the region.

On another note, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber met today, Wednesday, with the Chief of Army Staff and Commander of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the meeting reviewed the entrenched historical relations uniting the two countries and their friendly peoples.

It added that the meeting also reaffirmed the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation frameworks and intensifying coordination and consultation in various fields, particularly in the defense and security sectors, to elevate bilateral relations to broader horizons and achieve the common interests of the two friendly countries.

The ministry clarified that the meeting discussed the latest regional developments and efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing security and stability in the region, where Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in this regard.
