Kuwait-Pakistan talks to strengthen relations and expand cooperation horizons

Pakistan’s Prime Minister received the Foreign Minister, and they discussed the latest regional developments.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, received Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, today, Wednesday, on the occasion of his official visit to the capital, Islamabad.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the meeting reviewed the long-standing bilateral relations between the two countries and their friendly peoples, and explored ways to enhance and strengthen cooperation across various fields, in line with the shared interests of both nations.

It added that the latest regional developments and efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region were also discussed.

According to the statement, Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in supporting the security and stability of the region.

During the meeting, Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber conveyed greetings from the political leadership to the President of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, and to the Prime Minister, along with best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the government and people of friendly Pakistan.

Attending the meeting were Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, as well as the ministers of Defense, Commerce, National Food Security, Research, Communications, Maritime Affairs, and Petroleum, along with a number of senior Pakistani officials.
