CENTCOM: Interception of all Iranian ballistic missiles directed at our forces in the Middle East

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps launched several ballistic missiles from within Iran in an attempt to carry out a surprise attack targeting US forces stationed in the Middle East.

CENTCOM confirmed that all Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted, noting that US forces remain on maximum alert and continuous vigilance.

Earlier, Axios reported, citing a US official, that Iran had launched ballistic missiles toward a US base in Jordan.

The official added that the missiles were shot down and intercepted before reaching their target.

In parallel, Reuters quoted a US official as saying that Iran is exaggerating its demands regarding the Strait of Hormuz, which are rejected by Oman, the United States, and the international community.

The official added that the ongoing negotiations concerning the strait are limited to coordination and do not involve imposing transit fees or any other charges.
