Saudi Defense: Interception and destruction of several drones coming from Iraqi territory

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, announced today that air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones in the past hours that had attempted to target petroleum facilities in the Eastern Province.

Major General Al-Maliki clarified that these terrorist attempts were launched again from Iraqi territory and carried out by Iranian-backed militias, affirming the Kingdom’s inherent right to defend itself and its assets, and its right to respond at the time and place of its choosing.
