Trump: We had good talks with Iran... and I will return to complete the mission if we do not reach an agreement

US President Donald Trump stated that the United States had conducted productive talks with Iran, asserting that reaching an agreement with Tehran was preferable to “destroying what remains of the country.”

In an interview with Fox News, Trump added that the talks could make progress, but noted that Iran sometimes claims it is not holding discussions with Washington or that it has not discussed the nuclear file.

He affirmed that the United States had destroyed Iran’s air defenses and much of its weaponry, dismissing the significance of Iran’s “Jabal-e-Faqs” site as not posing a major problem.

He pointed out that the United States holds a very strong position against Iran, claiming it could destroy most of Iran’s bridges in less than an hour.

Trump emphasized that if Iran does not reach an agreement with the United States, he “will return to complete the mission,” noting that many Republicans support continuing military action against Iran.

He affirmed that the United States would no longer allow Iran to violate agreements.
